All that is needed to run your pool off grid is to size the pump according to your pool’s total gallon capacity, which traditionally for a back yard residential pool, a 1hp pool pump is sufficient for a 15,000 to 20,000 gallon pool. Installing the pool pump is no different than installing a traditional electric pool pump with the exception of the controller which comes with the Solar pool pump and of course the solar panels needed to run it.
Once the solar pool pump is plumbed into the piping of your pool, simply plug the Solar pump into the controller.
